The Purpose of the Albany Gooners is to promote a sense of community, and encourage participation of, the viewing of Arsenal Football Club Matches as well as the betterment of the local community through fundraising efforts.

The Albany Gooners were started on a small group of supporters in October of 2022. The goal was to get more members to come watch matches and to build a sense of community.

On March 19th, 2023 The Albany Gooners were officially recognized as a branch of Arsenal America.
